The new version of SETPWB isn't working.

I'm logged in as a Domain Administrator and I get the same message.
"Could not open HKEY_CURRENT_USER:http"
"There were problems opening registry keys.
You should be logged on as an Administrator to use this application."

Right clicking on the app and ...

Resolved.

It turned out to be an issue with the IE network configuration settings.

Thanks for the reply.

Problem with authenticating to Yahoo

We just started having problems with patrons who try to authenticate to their Yahoo accounts from the main (www.yahoo.com) page. After they click on the "Login" prompt, it takes them to the login screen, but after they input their id and password, they get a "page not found". It works fine if you go ...

Are you using any other security software like Fortres? If so, you need to edit the Save in Folders properties to include
%USERPROFILE%\Application Data\Apple Computer.

I'm currently running PWB 2.09 and the latest version of Quicktime without any problems.

It turns out that I was using an old program (SetBrowser) to set the default browser to use PWB.exe. I downloaded the latest version from the Downloads section (SetPWB) and that allows me to set the program file path and the INI file path. The SetBrowser program only pointed to the program file ...

Well, to get around the problem, I changed the properties in Adobe Reader to not open PDF in the browser.
Here's how: Edit - Properties - Internet - Uncheck "Display PDF in browser".

Now when clicking on a PDF link, the document opens inside Adobe Reader.

Problem with PDF links opening IE, not PWB

Environ: Windows XP; PWB 2.09; SetBrowser set to PWB.exe as default; INI files centrally located on server.

When I click on the links inside this PDF document http://www.michigan.gov/documents/1st_ELA-Intro_Ltrweb_135109_7.pdf
the workstation will open the new document in IE, not PWB. I'm using ...

I'm having the same issue. I upgraded from 2.05.

Occasionally when a user clicks on the mail icon in their yahoo mail account, the computer will display the Access.txt warning dialog, even though I do not have URL restrictions set in the URL.TXT. I do, however, hafe restrictions in place that ...

This is not a problem. I use Group Policy settings and, except for a small issue with the Logoff feature, have not had problems.

Wildcards in URL.TXT

Are wildcards (*, ?) allowed in the URL.TXT file? If so, would someone be kind enough to provide an example? I'm trying to use them so that I don't have to include every domain URL for particular web sites in order to allow access to users.

Thanks.
