Hello--
I had been running version 2.10.0 with no problems until the MySpace thing happened earlier this week. I'm now running v 2.10.6 and am getting popup errors. For instance, a patron in Yahoo Games reports that the error suggests that "popup blocker is on."
I run the iniupdate utility and the ...

Hello--
Is Winbatten still under development? Is there a manual out there somewhere?
Thanks

MySpace Blues
Hello--
This morning we're seeing PWB 2.10.0 crash whenever a patron goes to www.myspace.com. The error is "PWB has encountered an MFC error and needs to close." This also happens when Fortres is unloaded. MSIE 7 does not crash.
Any guess as to what's up? Maybe I need to upgrade.
Thanks

Access Denied?
Hello--
I'm using the url.txt file to allow only those sites I've added. Generally, this works well. However, when I attempt to email the results of an ebscohost search to myself (usually a pdf), I get the "access denied" window, but the email form does come up. When I go to transmit the form with ...

Hello--
Staff want to create an "express" Internet station that patrons could use for only 15 minutes. My first thought was to use the actvity timer. However, if we do that, and someone uses the browser for 5 minutes, walks away, and another patron starts using without restarting, won't that user ...

Re: Public Web Browser v2.10 Proposed Site License Increase
Starting with PWB v2.10, which will include a 64bit version, the cost for the annual site license subscription will increase from $100 to $125.

Hello--
Our department has only a few computers with little need to print. However, when they do want to print they want to avoid wastage. Does anyone have a good way to keep the kids from printing 50 copies of Britney Spear's picture while allowing them to print a page or two?

CIPA Compliance?
I'm looking for a cheap filter that will get us in compliance with CIPA. I'm thinking that using a noaccess list with Public Browser might do that. Is this a worthwhile idea? Is anyone else working on it? It looks like coming up with a good list is the key. (duh!)
