"This browser may not be secure" error from Google

Post by goleman »

Hello Scott and All:

Running PWB v3 CEF with unedited PWB.ini, on Windows 7,
logging into Google, some Google accounts get an error message
"This browser may not be secure"... and hit a dead end.

On the same PC, running Chrome without PWB, and logging-into the same Google accounts,
I get no error messages.

I suspect that there is something that Google is not liking about PWB, but have no idea what it might be.

Any guidance welcome. Thank you! -Steve

Are you using the newest version of PWB v3 CEF, "3.05.7"?

We are still on 3.0.5.4, actually...
I will try the upgrade and see what happens.
Will report back

Well, I tried the latest version, and the problem persists.
I have two personal google accounts,
and one login with no issues,
while the other get this 'secure' error (but only with PWB running, with the plain INI).

Try disabling the URL filter if you are using one.

I am running Windows 7, 64bit.

I have installed the BETA for SETPWB one mentioned for Vista, etc.

PWB will operate as the default browser in my admin profile but not a user profile which is my goal.

Any suggestions?

In Windows 10 you need to use the Windows Default Apps application to set the Default Browser.
