Videos will not play

Post by luvmystang »

I'm working with PWBv3cef version 3.0.5.0
I have the latest version of Chrome installed.
When I go to the following URL from Chrome directly, I am able to launch the videos http://www.twcnews.com/nc/triangle-sand ... rists.html

If I configure this same site thru PWB and click on the same video I get a black screen in the video window.
The .ini file is pretty much the standard, no changes to default settings.

Thanks for your assistance.

Unfortunately there are a few codecs that are not available in the Chromium Embedded Framework (CEF) yet.

With PWB CEF a window can be opened in Chrome or Internet Explorer, use the following settings to have the site open in Internet Explorer.

[Browser]
CheckOpenIE=True
CheckOpenCEF=True

I'm trying to configure this on Windows 10.
If I launch IE on Windows 10 and go to the same website (not with PWB) I am not able to get the videos to play. Nothing happens.
However if I launch the site with Microsoft Edge, the video will play.
So since the videos won't play in IE, doing the steps you listed doesn't work for me either.
I'm assuming there's no way to launch Microsoft Edge instead of IE?

Thanks for your assistance.

Unfortunately currently Edge does not have the ActiveX Control PWB utilizes that comes with IE. Eventually Microsoft will release an Edge version of the ActiveX Control and PWB will use it.
