Don't stop with PWB.
Because Public Web Browser was build using Microsoft Visual Studio and incorporates the Internet Explorer HTML rendering engine, PWB can take advantage of the Windows registry and policy settings that control how Internet Explorer functions. Thus the registry editor and policy editor including MMC group policies can become a powerful tool to further secure a Public Internet Workstation.
When setting up a Public Internet Workstation keep in mind PWB abides by all the non GUI settings in the Control Panel applet Internet Options as well as the various registry hacks and policy settings.

I know this was discussed in the previous forum.
Are there ways to prevent the the installation of various web programs?
The program installation requests pop up when users go to certain websites such as yahoo chat page.
Another thorn in my side is the date/time program and gator.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank You

Will disabling this prohibit users from doing a lot of things that they want to do and that we may not want to restrict? I am unaway of how ActiveX controls are used and if in the usual use of the web they are needed.
