How do I....?

Post by GusCalderon »

Hi there. Thanks for WinBatten 1.0.0.2, which seems to be working ok. :)

If I hide the task bar with WinBatten, how do I get Winbatten out of user mode? Normally, I have to double click on the task bar to bring it up and click on 'disable user mode'. HideGUI has the shift-f12 thing, but how does that work with WinBatten?

Also, if I set up a password on WinBatten, it asks for that password as soon as WinBatten is loaded, in order to run at /user mode. I don't want it to do that. I want it to load in the background and only ask for the password if you want to open up the GUI window (where you make all your choices). Is it possible to do this?

Thank you for all your hard work, folks. :)

I posted a new version (1.0.0.3) to the Beta page that fixes the password at user startup and adds the Shift F12 override key combination to the HideGUI portion of WinBatten.

You are welcome. Please keep sending the problems and suggestions so we can make WinBatten even better.

Thank you very much for the update. That was very quick of you! :)

The password issue looks to be fixed, but the shit-f12 thing is not working, at least for me. Unlike HideGUI, Winbatten is not sending the password window to the front, and this cause problems with my installation of PWB (I have it maximized, with no minimize, close, drag, or resize).

Just thought I'd let you know. :)

Did you enable the "overrides" in the HideGUI portion of WinBatten.

I will make the password dialog a top most window to keep it on top.

WinBatten v1.00.4 has the password dialog always on top, and I changed it so the text input field will have the focus.
