Windows Media Player - Secure Interface

Post by ramone_johnny »

Hi Scott,
I know this is in process, however I thought Id just post it up for reference purposes.

We are faced with users potentially comprimising systems due to the file menu within Windows Media Player.

The options 'file, view, play, tools, and help' across the top really cause a nuisance.

It would be great if these could be removed, as local system access and many options in here are unwanted.

Cheers,
John

We are developing a secure TV interface as well as a secure Media Player interface. Both will be posted and discussed in the following Forum thread.

We are hoping to have a working base done in the next couple of weeks.

The issue of the media player has been discussed on the forums many times, both adherents and opponents of it and using it

I've been using it for a long time for Windows even after I installed 8.1. Moreover, I really like the updated version. So, guys, keep it if necessary.
