NoFileUrl

Post by GregP »

Hi Everyone,

I've just recently discovered PWB on the web and am it trialling as part of the next upgrade for our Public Access network.

I was wondering if anyone has come across this little problem, and if so, do you have a fix for it?

In the registry, we can use the setting NoFileUrl to prevent the address 'file://c:' giving access to the hard drive in Internet Explorer, but PWB seems to ignore this setting.

We are using IE6 and Win NT 4.0 SP 6.

Any ideas?

You can add entries like

C:
file:

to the NoAccess file. Or, PWB2 includes options to allow only http: requests.

Thanks for that,

I hadn't thought of the NoAccess file. Worked perfectly.
