Message about deleting temp Internet files

Post by amutch »

I've noticed with the upgrade to 2.11.2 that the browser is now purging temporary Internet files, history, etc. when it is closed. Is this based on a setting in PWB? Or a Group Policy/Registry setting? I vaguely recall that I tinkered with this in GP a while back but since it didn't appear to work at the time on Windows XP, I didn't follow up on it. I'm glad to see that this is now working but wanted to know where to control it in case it causes us any problems.

Thanks,

Andrew

PWB v2.11.2 uses the IE API to clear the cache which works with the newer versions of IE as opposed to the Windows API PWB was using.

The following settings enable or disable this functionality.

[Security]
ClearCacheOnHome=False
ClearCacheOnClose=False

Scott,

I'll be checking my INI file settings. Thanks.
