Problem with Distance Learning Site

Post by AnthonyM »

Patrons are having problems accessing a distance learning site from Farmingdale State College. The site is:

http://www.farmingdale.edu/

In the top right corner is a link drop down list. If you click on

'Angel Distance Learning'

Its supposed to open a popup with the a login prompt. If you go to

https://farmingdale.sln.suny.edu/

Directly it works fine. It works fine in IE. I can email the rest of my INI if you need it. Thanks.

Using a stock INI file with PWB v2.10.5 the second window as indicated seems to work the same as in Internet Explorer.

Please send a copy your INI file as an attachment to support@teamsoftwaresolutions.com.

PWB v2.10.6 currently available on our Beta Download page will fix the issue you are experiencing.

I am a student of Farmingdale State College and also facing this problem to accessing a distance learning site on IE but now I am using Firefox and there is no such a issue. I recommend you to use firefox.

New version of Fire fox has in-built functions to fix such problems. I too had quite a few problems but ever since the emergence of Fire fox it seems as if the problem had never existed in the first place.

Reports suggest that websites related to education are always vulnerable to such problems. Some days traffic barge in hugely and some days it is not. That volatility seems to be the root cause. In future, some of the sophisticated explorer may also be not able to tackle this problem.
