Sorry - I forgot to follow-up on this and now seeing that it's still happening with the new catalog. The problem doesn't happen with PWB when it's being run on the same computer from the Windows desktop.

Guess I was wrong - we have the 64 bit version installed. I must have decided to go with the 64 bit version of PWB when I upgraded to the 64 bit version of Windows 7. Can I just copy over the 32 bit version of the EXE? I did test it with the 32 bit version and the same PDFs that didn't open in the 6...

I'm pretty sure that we have the 32 bit version installed. I'll check and confirm.

I recently upgraded our public computers to IE 11. When users try to open a PDF in PWB, they are seeing a small black box with an X in the upper left hand corner of the browser window. When I do the same with IE, the PDF opens in the browser window. PWB - 2.11.9 Internet Explorer 11 - 64 bit version...

It must be an INI file setting, perhaps the compatibility mode. I'll turn that off and see if it helps.

Now that Microsoft has released Internet Explorer 10, is PWB running on Windows 7 compatible with IE 10?

Does the 2.11.8 beta address any specific problems?

Patrons are unable to view videos on PWB when they go to the Yahoo News! site. Go here:

http://news.yahoo.com/video/

and then try viewing the video on the page. We just get a black box. This works fine with IE 9 on the same computer.

I'm running PWB as the shell on a Windows 7 computer. One problem we're encountering is that when PWB loads our library catalog page, the cursor appears and blinks in the search box but it doesn't have focus. This causes patrons to walk up and start typing, expecting that to appear in the search box...

But wouldn't this problem affect IE 9 as well?

I wasn't clear from reading your explanation if the workaround works. Does adding the site to the Intranet zone fix the problem?
