Using the filter files

You will need to add strings to the URL.txt file that match the URLs that are being denied. There is a balance that needs to be met that will give enough access allow what you want but deny what you don't. PWB uses "in string" logic to determine access. Here is a simple truth table to show...

This would be a simple add. We should be able to include it in the release version of PWB v2.03 revision 1.

Thank you for your suggestion.

You can simple unpack the manual install and PWB is installed. Really the only thing the installer does is copy the files to the Program Files folder and create the Start Menu icons.

In fact once you get PWB configured you can copy the PWB folder from computer to computer to install it.

As of 10-14-03, PWB v2.03 revision 1 contains better file checking and pathing. PWB adds the PWB path to the file if a path is not specified, and checks for the existence of the file and give a warning if it is not found.

It may not be that easy. In a Windows application, every button is a "shortcut" to a menu item. By disabling the menu item you also disable the button. I will attempt to get the menu items independent from the buttons but it may not be possible in a Windows environment the way PWB is writt...

Because Public Web Browser was build using Microsoft Visual Studio and incorporates the Internet Explorer HTML rendering engine, PWB can take advantage of the Windows registry and policy settings that control how Internet Explorer functions. Thus the registry editor and policy e...
