I'm using PWB v2.04, IE6 and WinNT 4 SP6. The script is : <HTML> <HEAD> <TITLE>Timer</TITLE> <script language="JavaScript"> <!-- var Led = new Array(10); for (var i=0; i < Led.length; i++) { Led[i] = new Image(); Led[i].src = "led" + i + ".gif"; } function SetLED(num) {...

PWB and window.resizeTo()

Has anyone experimented with the javascript function "window.resizeTo()" in PWB? I've written a page using this script and it works perfectly in IE, but when I use it in PWB it resizes the windows 'contents' but not the window itself, leaving large parts of the screen with empty white spac...

Forgive my 'non-US' understanding of this topic....

Someone handed me a news article about a US supreme court decision Yesterday relating to Internet content filtration in public Libraries.

Is this the same topic?

Took me a while.... I'm sure I'm not the only one with 4 million things that needed to be done Yesterday. :) The event viewer has nothing unusual, in particular nothing from PWB or PSEXEC. At the moment I'm using 'AT \\public32' but I want the actual scheduling to occur on our admin PC, not on the u...

This seems quite close to our setup.... >> 1. Each user gets a freshly restarted computer to use We logoff after every session because rebooting takes so long on our WinNT machines, but the setup would be the same. We have an administration computer which schedules batch files to run using the AT co...

PWB and PSEXEC

I'm just wondering if anyone has experience (good or bad) using psexec? I've got a .bat file setup to display a timer using Javascript in PWB. It works great. However when the situation becomes a bit more complicated things fall over. 1) Batch file running locally off shellbar. Work Great. 2) Batch ...

DownClock for WinNT

Can anyone suggest an application or combination of little apps which function like DownClock for WinNT?

DownClock seems perfect for what we are looking for, but alas... wrong OS.

I probably should mention, its the user friendly messages I'm looking for. Regulating their access is the easy part.

HTML in Dialog Boxes

I am playing around with the 'printing.txt' file. I wanted to add a way for new customers to read all of our existing printing tips and thought that if the dialog box recognized a few little HTML tags we could put the information in a well layed out web page for them to peruse at their own leisure. ...

Toolbar Quirks

Hello Again, I'm trying to iron out a little quirk with the toolbars. Using the settings below I've got the toolbars just how I want them, except that the address bar can be moved, and does move automatically if you 'restore' then 'maximise' the window. I want to set 'DisableAddressMove=True' but th...

Hi Scott, I've tried Auto Logon and it doesn't seem to do anything. I've run "autologon setup" from the command prompt and fed in the necessary values (I'm assuming they will just overide the existing registry vaules) and run 'autologon.exe' every boot. When PWB gets closed I still get lef...

Thanks for the reply. I had overlooked Auto Logon as we are using registry settings to perform most of what it does anyway. I've had a look at the blurb on the web site and the readme file and neither mentions this other feature, maybe its worth updating those? I'll try it out next week. Thanks again.

Restarting PWB as a Shell

Hi Everyone, At the moment I have a PC set up using PWB as the windows shell. I am trying to set up the computer so that when PWB is shutdown it will logoff. I know we can prevent PWB being shutdown anyway, but if I can get this setup working it would be my prefered option. At the moment I am invest...

Foreign Language Support

I haven't had a chance to test this on our test PC as yet, but has anyone had any problems with foreign language support in PWB? I can see one stumbling block: PWB doesn't (that I can see) let you select 'View > Encoding...". So if the browser doesn't automatically change to the new encoding wh...

URLs and Shell Buttons

Hi Everyone, I'm wondering if anyone has a way to get URLs working from shell buttons without opening another browser window. At the moment I am using the command line: "C:\Program Files\publicbrowser\publicbrowser.EXE /Ini="C:\Program Files\publicbrowser\popup.ini" http://www.hotmail...
