Hi Aaron, You could change the file permissions on the files to read only... Right-click > Properties > Security > Permissions This assumes you are using an NT based OS which will be more robust about security. You make the changes logged on as an administrative user and allow only read access to no...

Hi Scott,

Was this problem resolved for 2.05 (or close to resolved?).

Don't think that I'm hassling you, because the script is of very minor importance. I'm just curious.

Ta,
Greg

I have, but it didn't work. I also tried passing 'qld1' as a second argument to the function. No luck.

PWBExecute in v2.05

Has anyone experimented with the PWBExecute feature and run into problems? I'm trying to get it to run a command: "c:\digger\digger.exe qld1" but it is refusing to work. I'm guessing that that the problem is the command parameter and was wondering if PWBExecute should be able to cope with ...

Clock on Access Policy?

Just an idol question... Would adding a small clock to the dialog box displaying the Access Policy be difficult? I ask because our PCs run as the windows shell and a logon prompt runs between the dialog box closing and PWB opening, so customers have no means of seeing the _system_ time to check when...

Hi Scott,

Do you think that the fix for this will be in the next release (2.05? I think)?

"res://" in URL.txt

Hey Everyone, One of our computers kicked a customer out today because it flagged something they were looking at as excluded in our URL.txt file. Now what they were looking at was fine, but the log file showed me that IE had attempted grab one of its standard error messages off the hard drive from a...

Is there a reason why customers need to change the encoding manually?

IE should detect pages in a foreign language and adjust accordingly.

If you do have need to, I agree that a button or some such would be more intuitive for your users.

You need to allow right-clicking. In the ini file set 'Encoding=True' under '[ContextMenu]'.

We have this as the only option on our context-menu.

Hi Scott,

Have you seen the same behaviour or is it just me?

I was wondering if you know why this is happening?

I've seen this error message before too, although I have to admit I dismissed it at the time because the same PC was also having some major problems printing and the error only appeared when the customer tried to print the document, not when looking at it. I didn't think it was PWB at the time... We...
