Obviously, TeamSoftware Solutions have no interest in providing support for AutoRestart, so an alternative for anyone else trying to get it working with Windows 7 is RestartOnCrash.
Shame on you people.

I also have the multiple instances issue with IE8 under Windows 7 Enterprise. This seems to be completely random but when it does happen, it takes no notice of the set delay times.
