Getting started with Celsus v2 Electronic Delivery System (Demonstration)

Celsus version 2 is an easy to use high performance electronic delivery system that offers a quick turn around for patron requests and an interactive patron experience. Utilizing an Open Source backend Web and SQL server, and a proprietary native Windows application, Celsus v2 is able to delivery what your patrons expect.

The Celsus Windows application was developed to provide an intuitive, simple, and quick, experience for the Library staff in order to provide patrons with as fast turn around as possible with minimal staff resources.

Logging in

The Celsus v2 Demonstration use Administrator user name and password is "admin" and "admin" respectively. Use this to logon to the Celsus system.

Sending a request

Because Celsus v2 knows who the patron is that made the request, sending the request from the Celsus v2 Windows application is as simple as a few mouse clicks.

1. After selecting the request to fill, click the "Send" button in the main interface. This will display the Select file dialog.

2 .Select the file that matches the request, and either click the "Open" button, or double click the file. This will display the Send dialog.

3. Click the "Send" button. Since Celsus already knows who made the request, and you have told Celsus what file goes with the request, everything is populated and ready to send.

Adjusting Preferences

Use the menu item "Edit" and select "Preferences" to choose how your Windows application interface is laid out. This includes showing requests being processed, and requests that are completed. This allows for staff with different functions to not be bogged down with a complex one size fits all interface but does not limit from quickly adding other views to meet their immediate needs. From the dialog, is is also possible to easily update contact information.
